I completed my PhD in Behavioral Neuroscience from Oregon Health & Science University. My doctoral work had an emphasis on Behavioral Genetics. Here I maintained a 3.6 GPA and completed this degree in April 2015. My B.S. was obtained from UC Davis with a major in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior. I completed this degree in December 2007.

Experience

I have teaching experience at the university and high school levels. I taught two college level courses in the Psychology departments of two major universities (Portland State University and Western Washington University, Vancouver). First author published research scientist. My background is in Neuroscience and I focuses on neural mechanisms of psychiatric disorders for my doctoral work.

Hobbies

I am an avid runner and outdoor enthusiast. When I am not teaching or working in the lab I choose to spend most of my time outdoors with my dog. I moved to Portland in 2009 to complete my doctoral work at OHSU. I recently moved to Seattle, where I plan to lecture at several local universities this fall.
